I agree, Palin is an idiot and should not be running for jobs that take her away from a child that needs her. Children aren't trophies for someone else to raise. Or else you end up with unruly kids who get pregnant when they're not responsible enough to raise a child.

Oh, that wasn't what you asked... do I think they should be punished? No, but I think they should have to raise their children - not nannies.

If you want a child after 40, adopt. There are plenty of healthy children out there that need loving homes. You can even adopt one out of fostercare, bypassing the diaper phase if you so choose.

I think that modern feminism is detrimental to women in many other ways too. I believe they go above and beyond what is required to get what they want. They seem to think that whatever they are fighting for is what every woman agrees with.

However, I wouldn't place the blame of teenage girls drinking directly on the shoulders of feminism... having said that, they did fight for girls to be able to do what they wanted when they wanted...but i would like to hope that this type of irresponsible behaviour is actively opposed by everyone not encouraged on the face of equality. Maybe the fact that girls do this now is feminists idea of equality...next thing you know they will be calling for all male teenagers who are intoxicated to get arrested... and the girls to get a lift home, by a group who specialise in such behaviour trying to get to the root of the evil behind their actions... undoubtedly the actions of a man....!

The way I see it is that children, born or still cookin', depend on the adults of the world to keep them safe and protected. If you're going to live in a society that has established laws, you've got to give in to the fact that there is a higher authority over your life. These laws are established not only to keep order, but to say that there IS a set of morals that a society wishes to uphold. Our society values freedom of choice, which is awesome. It also values the right to safety and protection. In this respect, I think it's crucial that children be protected from harm of any kind as much as possible. The issue is with protecting one life while violating the rights of another. Women have the right to smoke, but they do not have the right to smoke illegal substances. Women do NOT have the right to harm their children once they are out of the womb. Once it has been determined that the fetus is too old to be aborted (because THAT'S another issue entirely), the mother should NOT have the right to harm her child while IN the womb. If what the woman is doing to her own body affects the child growing inside her body in a way that would be considered illegal if the child were already born, then I think it should absolutely be illegal. Crack mommas and boozer mommas are to me, quite the disgusting creature. With the RIGHT TO CHOOSE in this society, it is deplorable to me that any woman would CHOOSE to continue a pregnancy and do drugs/drink when she could just as easily choose NOT to continue a pregnancy and ruin her own life all she wants. Maybe that's just me though.

Yes they should, but it seems hypocritical in a way. If a woman smokes crack while pregnant, its abuse. If she has an abortion and kills him/her, its called choice. So murder is OK because its not a baby until born, but smoking crack is bad because it is a living baby even in the womb?
Pro choice liberals are really confused sad people.

I think it is. Those people shouldn't be allowed to have kids if they can't have the basic emotion of caring for a child. I think a lot of them don't give their kids a second thought.

The ones that really piss me off are the ones that smoke around their kids, whether it be in a car or a restuarant. You want to kill yourself with cancer...go right ahead but don't take your child with you. No child should start out life with all these kinds of problems because adults only care about their needs.

There are some circumstances where the law should step in. Smoking, drugs and alchol is one.

All I can say to those people. THINK OF YOUR CHILD YOU SELFISH SOB!

I bet you they would be at their kids funeral crying and asking why. Well stupid, your nasty habit and the fact that you were selfish killed your child.

Bringing a child into this world is a major responsiblity. And you should put the childs needs above yours. But all too often I see people cranking out kids like a pez despenser.

It makes me sad. I never ever want to see a child harmed. I consider the things I stated as child abuse and they should be punished.
